SNAP CSA DETAILS

We offer a 50% discount for all SNAP CSA customers at certain pick-up sites. In 2024, those sites are Viva Farms (Burlington), United General WIC Clinic (Sedro-Woolley), Burlington Parks and Recreation (Burlington), WWU Sustainability Engagement Institute (Bellingham) and Experience Momentum (Fremont, Seattle). If your closest pick-up site does not offer the SNAP/EBT payment, we recommend signing up for the sliding scale option.

In 2024, we are also participating in SNAP Produce Rewards which puts money back on your SNAP EBT card when you use SNAP benefits to buy fruits and vegetables at participating farm vendors, including Viva Farms. You can get up to $50 per month put back onto your SNAP EBT card.

Enrollment

To sign up, you must first join the CSA on Local Food Marketplace! You will create your account, then choose your preferred pick-up location and select your share size. To enroll, you must check out with credit or debit card info, but you will not be charged at sign up. This card will only be charged if you fail to show up in person to make payment at pick-up each week using your EBT card.

Payment and Pick-up

You will be charged $14 (small boxes) or $21 (large boxes) when you come to the CSA pick-up site each week. We will run your EBT card, or you may also pay with credit or debit. We will need to swipe your EBT card to confirm SNAP eligibility in order for you to qualify for the discounted rate.
