Mission

Viva Farms empowers aspiring and limited-resource farmers by providing bilingual (Spanish-English) training in holistic organic farming practices, as well as access to land, infrastructure, equipment, marketing, capital and community.

About

Viva Farms is a non-profit Farm Business Incubator and Training Program established in 2009. We operate over 100 acres between our locations in Skagit County and King County, Washington. We lower the barriers for beginning farmers, creating opportunities for success. Our main educational program, the Practicum in Sustainable Agriculture is offered in both locations annually from April – October. We provide aspiring farmers the necessary resources and support to build viable, independent and successful farm businesses via our Farm Business Incubator. This includes direct technical assistance from staff, which is offered in both English and Spanish in Skagit. We also operate an AgPark at our Skagit County location, which offers medium-term land tenure where farmers can scale on larger plots over many years, ahead of launching onto long-term land tenure. All these growers are busy growing organic, delicious food. Viva Farms offers a weekly CSA (community-supported agriculture) box available for pickup up and down the I-5 corridor as well as a wholesale program that provides mixed vegetables and berries to some of your favorite Pacific Northwest establishments.
