We are a collaboration of non-profit, business, and government groups committed to expanding the local agricultural economy by connecting local farmers to services, information, and technical resources.
Education & Training
Begin to Farm Skagit provides beginning farmers with education, training and technical assistance for launching and operating successful farm businesses. This effort is a partnership between several local, regional, and national organizations. including the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture’s Beginning Farmer Rancher Development Program to ensure the future of Agriculture here in Skagit County.

Classroom-based education in sustainable agriculture
Bilingual classroom based poultry production and 1:1 mentoring
Bilingual land-based farm business startup, incubation and technical assistance
Bilingual workshops covering sustainable agriculture and access to capital
Farm to School workshops and technical assistance for farms and food services
Farmland access and farmland protection, access and transfer technical assistance
