Tours

Visit us at Viva Farms to learn how we support beginning farmers

and engage with your local food system

Are you curious about all that it takes to grow food for your community? Viva Farms welcomes you to join us for a tour.

Here is a little bit about what you can expect while visiting us:

    • Tours are 1.5 hours and hosted by Viva Farms’ staff members at our farm in Burlington, WA.
    • You will learn a bit about our organization’s history, primary programs and how to get involved, surrounded by the beauty of growing fruits and vegetables.
    • The typical tour is a walking tour of about one mile over unpaved, uneven ground with limited shade. We do our best to make accessibility accommodations as needed. If something would better your experience, please contact us or include accommodation requests in the form below.
    • You will be visiting a working farm! Please dress accordingly. Plan to wear boots or waterproof footwear for rain and mud. Wear or bring layers to stay comfortable no matter the weather, including a raincoat and a hat and/or sunglasses.
    • There are many working organic farms onsite that depend on their farms for their livelihood. Food safety and organic certification is critical to their businesses. We ask that you stay on the main roads and avoid walking amongst crops.
    • By joining the tour, you provide consent for photographs and other media that may be used on Viva Farms’ materials.
    • Viva Farms is a bilingual organization and operates in both English & Spanish. Tours will be conducted in English unless otherwise requested during registration.
    • The tour is appropriate for all-ages and kids are welcome, but we do not have particular activities suited for kids. If you are interested in touring with a school group, please contact our Farm to School Coordinator at adele@vivafarms.org or 360-969-7191 x813.

Public Tour Options

This summer’s public tour details and registration links are listed below. In the event that a tour fills up, we will keep a waitlist in case of any cancellation. We welcome a suggested donation of $20 per person. All tours take place at Viva Farms Skagit County. Driving directions are listed on the registration page.

Viva Farms King County does not have any scheduled public tours at this time. However, we are excited to share this Virtual Farm Walk, presented in the Spring of 2025 by Tilth Alliance, Edge Perma, and WSU Food Systems. Explore Viva Farms King County from home here. If you are interested in visiting our Woodinville location, please fill out the Tour Request Form below.

    Private or Group Tours

In addition to our public tours, we offer private tours depending on capacity and availability. We welcome local churches, rotary groups, classes from local universities, or groups of folks interested in local agriculture. The suggested donation is $300 for a group of 30 or less. For larger groups, the suggested donation increases by $50. If you would like us to invite a farmer operating in our Farm Business Incubator to join your tour and Q&A, we suggest an additional honorarium of $125. To get started, please fill out the form below to get in touch and make a plan. We ask for these extra steps in order to ensure that you and your team have the best experience possible.
