Support Viva Farms
Often, in the face of change – seasonal, political, climatic – we return to our routines, so many of which revolve around the tradition and comfort of food. When so much seems out of our control, we take our morning walks, call our friends and our kids, and: we sit down to dinner together. We lean on our community, and we rely on them to lean back.
What do we think is essential to ensure amidst all the change? A food system that works far into the future.
Together, we have stability. Together, we are resilient. Maybe a few months ago, you diligently staked your dahlias and trellised your peas; today, it’s Viva that needs that kind of support.
This giving season, will you lend your support to Viva Farms?
Other Ways to Give
Viva Farms is working to build a community resource that will be a sustainable part of our local food systems’ future. We know that if we can build The Barn at Viva Farms that we will, in turn, be able to offer a stable foundation to beginning farmers. About a year ago, we tore down a decrepit building, and now we have a sturdy structure just missing a few key elements. Construction is 60% complete and the building will soon be weather-proofed for the rainy season. We are facing a gap in funding needed to complete the project. Please consider supporting The Barn at Viva Farms so we can kick off the 2025 farming season strong with improved, necessary infrastructure for the farms of the future.
Workplace Giving
Many employers offer workplace giving programs that match your donation dollar for dollar. We encourage employees to hitch your tractor to something larger than yourself and consider doubling your impact when donating to Viva Farms. Ask your employer about their workplace giving programs and follow their instructions for making a matching gift. Members of the King County Employee Giving Program, please use code 10280 to support Viva Farms.
