Norfolk Farm

In 2022, Emily Caldwell of Norfolk Farm was looking for change. After spending six months traveling and researching how she could spend more time on the land, she moved to Skagit Valley to explore Viva’s Practicum in Sustainable Agriculture. Although her family doesn’t have a history of farming, Emily is originally from the pastoral region of Norfolk, England, started growing food at age 12 in Texas, and studied sustainability, farming, and food systems at Arizona State University. While her interest in nutrition and desire to work the land grew, Emily also developed a career in filmmaking and online education. As she balances her career and pursuing Norfolk Farm, Emily will start with unique, mixed vegetables that you might not find at the grocery store as well as cut flowers and other delights that do well in the Skagit region. She plans to grow what she loves to cook: beautiful and delicious things.
